How to Store a Lawn Mower

Now that it is getting colder, the lawn mower will be sitting in the shed or garage for longer periods of time. Mowers hate sitting around not being used. If it is going to be longer than 3-4 weeks between mows, you need to prepare your lawn mower.
Preparing your lawn mower for storage is easy – let it run until it runs out of fuel. If your mower is fitted with a fuel tap, turn it off and let it run until it stops. If you don’t have a fuel tap, you will need to either empty the tank and then run the mower until it runs out of fuel (please be careful when dealing with fuel).
